Baskin-Robbins has named seasoned restaurant executive Bill Mitchell to the newly created position of Vice President, Baskin-Robbins U.S. In his new role, Mitchell will focus on supporting the domestic Baskin-Robbins franchisees and helping them drive best-in-class operations and guest service.

To kick off the ice cream icon’s 65^th birthday, Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest ice cream chain, is announcing the retirement of five signature flavors to its world famous “Deep Freeze” to make room for even more innovative flavors in the brand’s already extensive flavor repertoire. The five retiring flavors include: French Vanilla, Superfudge Truffle, Caramel Praline Cheesecake, Campfire S'Mores, and Apple Pie a la Mode.

Baskin-Robbins is opening its 1,000th store in Japan. To honor this important milestone the company held a grand opening celebration at the new shop located at Decks Tokyo Beach, 1-6-1 Daiba, Minato-Ku in Tokyo.
