Baskin-Robbins ice cream is all that Vage Asatryan and Varuzh Tirityan have ever known.
 

Asatryan and Tirityan both started working at Baskin-Robbins at age 16, and they now operate four stores in the San Fernando Valley. And this spring, their passion for the 31-flavor ice cream chain was recognized at the national level, when they were named the 2011 Baskin-Robbins Operators of the Year.
 
The franchisees, who operate two stores in Burbank, one in Pasadena and one in Toluca Lake, received the award from Dunkin' Brands - the parent company of Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts - at a May ceremony in Cambridge, Mass. They were recognized for purchasing a neglected 50-year store in Burbank and turning it around in less than a year.
