Baskin-Robbins Invites Guests to Embrace the Mardi Gras Spirit with its March Flavor of the Month and Big Easy Banana Split

(March 3, 2014) – Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, today announced that it is celebrating Mardi Gras by bringing the classic flavors of New Orleans’ hometown dessert to guests across the country with its new March Flavor of the Month, Bananas Foster. With the new flavor, Baskin-Robbins has transformed the traditional New Orleans dessert into an irresistible Bananas Foster-flavored ice cream with a brown sugar rum-flavored ribbon and praline pecans.
In participating Baskin-Robbins shops nationwide, Bananas Foster ice cream is available in a milkshake, by the scoop – in a cup or cone – and in fresh-packed pints and quarts.* The delicious flavor is also featured in the Big Easy Banana Split, a banana boat with a banana sliced lengthwise, scoops of Bananas Foster, Chocolate and Pralines ‘n Cream ice creams, topped with Caramel Praline Topping, Marshmallow Topping and finished with real whipped light cream, cherries and chopped almonds. Baskin-Robbins is also inviting guests to “go bananas” with its Caramel Banana Parfait and Caramel Banana 31° Below®. These tasty treats feature smooth and creamy vanilla soft serve with bananas and caramel praline topping.
