The world just got a little sweeter… That is because today we opened our 8,000th Baskin-Robbins location on planet Earth! This is a key milestone that represents our commitment to building Baskin-Robbins’ presence globally. The 8,000th store is located at 2839 E Thousand Oaks Blvd. in Thousand Oaks, California and is operated by franchisees Doug and Susan Morgan. To help celebrate, the store will be offering $1.50 scoops of Baskin-Robbins ice cream all day.
We want to thank Doug and Susan for being a part of this special moment in time with us. The Morgans have been a great addition to the Baskin-Robbins family and in 2016, we were honored to recognize them with our annual Operator of the Year Award.
Doug knows a lot about what it takes to build a Baskin-Robbins store from the ground up – literally. Before becoming a Baskin-Robbins franchisee, Doug was a general contractor and for years, built and remodeled Baskin-Robbins locations throughout Southern California. His genuine love for the brand inspired him and Susan to seize the opportunity to turn their passion for Baskin-Robbins into a business. The Morgans opened their first Baskin-Robbins location in Moorpark, CA in 2011. Doug and Susan serve as strong role models for our franchisee community and we look forward to supporting them as they share the Baskin-Robbins experience with the Thousand Oaks community.
