CANTON, Mass. (July 1, 2010) – It’s party time! In celebration of summertime fun and National Ice Cream Month, Baskin-Robbins brings back an ice cream flavor ideally suited for all kinds of celebrations. America’s Birthday Cake, available the entire month of July, offers ice cream lovers the chance to savor the flavor of an ice cream loaded with an irresistible cake taste. Candles are optional.
“A birthday celebration or special event wouldn’t be complete without cake and ice cream,” said Srinivas Kumar, chief brand officer for Baskin-Robbins Worldwide. “America’s Birthday Cake combines the two great flavors of cake and ice cream into one magical, mouthwatering surprise. This flavor is especially sweet to us as it also marks the beginning of Baskin-Robbins’ 65th birthday year.”
The commemorative flavor, available for a limited time this summer, features strawberry and cake-flavored ice creams with confetti-topped cake pieces swirled with a blue whipped cream ribbon. Even better, customers can choose to enjoy America’s Birthday Cake just about any way they wish – in a cup, on a cone, as the brand’s popular 31 Below™, or in any of Baskin-Robbins’ classic sundaes.
