Meet Pint-Sized Hero Jaden Lowery from Grand Prairie, Texas

The Pint-Sized Heroes program continues this spring with the announcement of our ninth honoree to date: 11-year-old Jaden Lowery from Grand Prairie, Texas! Joining an ensemble of young philanthropists impacting their communities for the better, Baskin-Robbins is excited to recognize Jaden’s passion and heartwarming good deeds.

At just six years old, Jaden was diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoma. Instead of letting his illness define him, Jaden thought about others who may be suffering, like the homeless and other children with life-threatening illnesses, and began having conversations with his family about ways to help. After beating Lymphoma, Jaden told his parents that he would like to give his birthday money to the homeless and hospitals.

This inspiration led Jaden to create his own nonprofit two years later, Jaden Cares, which provides care and assistance to the homeless and kids with life-threatening illnesses through volunteering and in-kind donations. From providing meals and hygiene products for the homeless to organizing a toy drive for sick children at Cook Children’s Medical Center, Jaden has stepped up for his community in a big way, having assisted approximately 4,000 people in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We’re honored to recognize Jaden and the work he has done in his community. As a thank you for all of his efforts and to acknowledge his heartwarming mission, Jaden will receive free ice cream for a year! The Baskin-Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation is also paying his good deeds forward with a $5,000 donation to the charity of his choice, Wipe Out Kids Cancer (WOKC-Dallas).

When Jaden isn’t giving back, he enjoys reading, drawing, dancing, and cooking, as well watching anime or any superhero movie. When he grows up, Jaden wants to be a surgeon or a chef. With his year of free ice cream, he plans to indulge in his favorite flavor, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
