This includes your name, address and email address, as well as local store address and any other information you may wish to share.

Promotional Events

When you choose to take part in a promotional event we'll ask for information necessary for the event, such as your name, email address and shipping address. On occasion, we may co-sponsor promotions with third parties. Before entering your data you will be notified if third parties will obtain your personal information.

Surveys

From time-to-time we may post surveys which request demographic information such as age range, gender, areas of interest and familiarity with Baskin-Robbins products and services, as well as customer feedback. Participation in these requests is completely voluntary. With each request you will have the choice of whether or not to disclose information. This information will be used to create new flavors and treats, plus improve the overall experience on BaskinRobbins.com.

If you choose, you may submit an electronic application seeking consideration as a prospective franchisee via the Franchise Opportunity Web site. If you submit an electronic application, we will collect your name, date of birth, social security number, address, email address, other contact information and certain financial and employment information that you must enter on the form. By submitting this information, you agree that Baskin-Robbins may retain, use and disclose the information to respond to your inquiry and to help us conduct our franchise marketing efforts. Information on your online form will become part of any application for a Baskin-Robbins franchise that you might later submit. We may disclose your personal information to our business units, agents, parent company, other affiliates and to other third parties as part of our consideration of your inquiry or any subsequent franchise application. We do not authorize unaffiliated third parties to use your personal information for any purpose other than consideration of your inquiry or application.

Children's Information

Baskin-Robbins recognizes the need to provide additional privacy protection to children. Children 12-years-old and younger may visit BaskinRobbins.com without disclosing any personally identifiable information. However, it is sometimes necessary to collect some personally identifiable information about children in order to allow them to use a feature of our site (like joining the Baskin-Robbins Birthday Club). In addition, be aware that all sites that are targeted to children 12 and younger are prohibited by law from collecting more information than they need.

Only a parent or guardian may register a child 12 or younger for the Baskin-Robbins Birthday Club. When a parent registers a child for the Birthday Club, we request the child's name, date of birth and parent's e-mail address. We collect this information in order to verify the child's age, send personalized Birthday Club emails, and provide other Birthday Club benefits (such as promotions and special offers). Parents may review and edit this information at any time by going to their Birthday Club account on BaskinRobbins.com.

We will not disclose any children's information to anyone outside of Baskin-Robbins, our sister brand, Dunkin' Donuts, and our agents and franchisees. Our sister brand has access to children's information and is jointly responsible for protecting children's privacy, but please direct all communication concerning children's information to Baskin-Robbins (contact information is given below). Our agents may need children's personal information in order to fill an order, respond to a request or help provide Birthday Club support, prevent fraud, or assist us in the management and improvement of our Web site. Our franchisees may need children's personal information in order to help us provide Birthday Club services and prevent fraud. We require our agents and franchisees to respect our privacy practices concerning children's information and not use children's information for purposes other than to carry out our instructions.

Parents may request at any time that we delete information about their children from our databases. If you would like to deactivate your child's Birthday Club account, please visit your account and remove your child from the registration list.

How we protect your personal and financial information

When you enter your credit card number or personal and financial information, we use a software program (Secure Socket Layer Technology or SSL) to encrypt or scramble that information before it's sent.

Cookies, Interest-Based Advertising and "Do Not Track"

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed in your computer browser directories to store your information about your use of the BaskinRobbins.com and your activities online (collectively, “Cookies”).  A Cookie will typically contain the name of the domain (internet location) from which the Cookie has come, the “lifetime” of the Cookie (i.e. when does it expire), and a value, usually a randomly generated unique number.  To find out more about Cookies, including how to see what Cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

How We Use Cookies

We use Cookies so that we can improve your online experience – for example, by remembering you when you come back to visit us, and making the content you see more relevant to you. Cookies also enable us to track online purchases made through the BaskinRobbins.com.

Your Control of Cookies

If you do not wish to receive Cookies or wish to manage when you accept Cookies in general, you may set your browser to reject Cookies or to alert you when a Cookie is placed on your computer.  Although you are not required to accept our Cookies, if you set your browser to reject Cookies, you may not be able to use all of the features and functionality of the BaskinRobbins.com.  The Help feature on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new Cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new Cookie, or how to disable Cookies altogether.  If you block or otherwise reject our Cookies, you may lose some of the functionality of our site.  For example, you may not be able to add items to your Shopping Cart, proceed to Checkout, or use any products and services that require you to sign in.

Online Advertising

The BaskinRobbins.com also use Cookies and other technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons and clear GIF files (collectively, “Data Collection Technologies”) to help manage our online advertising program. These Data Collection Technologies are provided by our ad management partners and other third parties.
In addition, we and our ad management partners may use these Data Collection Technologies to track the actions of users of the BaskinRobbins.com, to measure statistics of our marketing efforts, and to deliver advertisements on the BaskinRobbins.com that may be more relevant to individual consumers and that will improve the consumer experience on the BaskinRobbins.com.  For example, if you give us your zip code and we thus know you live in an area where a particular in-store promotion is going on (such as a new snack offering), we may deliver to you an advertisement that is specific to that promotion.

We support the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising of the Digital Advertising Alliance (“Principles”).  This means that we allow you to exercise choice regarding the collection of information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites for online interest based advertising purposes.  More information about these Principles can be found at www.aboutads.info/.

Opting Out of Interest-Based Advertisements

If you want to “opt out” of receiving online interest-based advertisements, please follow the instructions at www.aboutads.info/choices, or  http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.  An “opt-out” Cookie will be placed on your device indicating that you do not want to receive interest-based advertisements.  If you delete Cookies on your device generally, you will need to opt-out again.

Please note that when you “opt-out” of receiving interest-based advertisements, this does not mean you will no longer see advertisements from us or on the BaskinRobbins.com.  It means that the online ads that you do see will not be based on your particular interests.

In addition, please note that certain third parties that we do not control may use Data Collection Technologies on the BaskinRobbins.com.  When you “opt-out” of receiving interest-based advertisements through one of the links above, these Data Collection Technologies may still collect information about your use of the BaskinRobbins.com, including for analytics and fraud prevention as well as any other purpose permitted under the Principles.  When we use the term “Data Collection Technologies” we are referring to any technology that collects information about your use of the BaskinRobbins.com and potentially about your activities when you leave the Services and visit other sites on the Internet.
