Meet Baskin-Robbins’ Newest Houston-Area Pint-Sized Hero

Meet Baskin-Robbins’ Newest Houston-Area Pint-Sized Hero

At Baskin-Robbins®, we’re passionate about happiness. That’s why we created the Baskin-Robbins Pint-Sized Heroes program to bring smiles to children who are receiving care at hospitals across the country and continue to inspire joy in their communities. Through the generosity of our franchisees, employees and guests, the Baskin-Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation provides grants to children’s hospitals in honor of our Pint-Sized Heroes to continue to bring happiness to other children receiving care. This year, we recognize Pint-Sized Heroes who inspire others to be their best self and stays positive despite the health challenges they face.

Eight-year-old Peyton has sickle cell disease, a lifelong illness that affects her red blood cells. Despite Peyton’s illness, she has a brightness that shines through to those around her, whether through art, dance, crafting, cheer, or play, and a maturity that allows her to connect with the emotional needs of others. Peyton loves cheer and dance and has been spotted teaching members of the Texas Children’s team her latest cheers during football season. Her desire to cheer people on and share kind words is not only present within the hospital environment but also outside of the hospital with her friends and family.

In Peyton’s honor, the Baskin-Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation granted $31,000 to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. The grant will support Child Life activities within Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center, and Peyton will help decide how the grant will be used to bring joy to patients and siblings. In true Baskin-Robbins fashion, Peyton also receives a year of free ice cream.
